Day 1: Hanoi – Laocai by train.

In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for overnight train to Laocai. Train???. Departure at 20:30 (TBA).

Day 2: Arrive Laocai early morning. Transfer to Sapa. Sapa trekking.

Arrive Lao Cai approximately 5h30am. You will be met up by our local team at the station and transferred to Sapa. Breakfast will be provided at a local restaurant in Sapa before trekking uphill through mountainous area. Enjoy while walking the spectacular view over rice paddy terraces, corn fields. Your picnic lunch will be provided on the spot. After lunch, we continue our trek downhill towards Taphin village where you will meet Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities, two largest ethnic groups in Sapa area. Stop by a house to talk with local people to know a bit more about their daily life, their customs and tradition. Have dinner and
overnight in the village.

Day 3: Continue trekking Sapa hill tribe villages. Transfer to Laocai for night train back to Hanoi.

After breakfast, we start our trek towards Sapa. We will pass through several minority villages; rive paddy terraces along the way. Upon arriving in Matra village inhabited by Black Hmong people, we will stop for our lunch. Then, we continue our walk to Sapa. Have a short rest/shower before transfer to Lao Cai station and get the night train back to Hanoi. Train???. Departure at 20:30 (TBA).

Day 4: Arrive Hanoi early morning. Travel to Halong Bay. Cruise. Kayaking.

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, you will be met by another Lotussia Travel guide, driver then transferred to a local restaurant for early breakfast then depart to Halong bay.  Enjoy the journey through the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing boat/junk (or similar boat/junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit or take a kayaking and paddle through many small islets of different shapes.  Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.

Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi. Fly to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon).

Brunch (Breakfast + Lunch) will be served on board while the boat is going back to shore. Arrive at Ha long wharf about 11h00 and take our car for our journey back to Hanoi.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to Noibai airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Welcome at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city by Lotussia Travel guide, driver and then transferred to your hotel in town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 6: Cycling the Mekong Delta (Saigon – Caibe – Can Tho).

After breakfast, transfer (approx 2 hrs) to My Tho to avoid the teeming traffic. My Tho is the gateway to the Mekong Delta and a wonderful place to start our ride. In My Tho, unload the bikes and start to pedal on the beautiful and quiet country lanes along the Tien River to Cai Be. Along the way, pass through the heart of rural Mekong along narrow lanes, passing banana plantations, sugarcane fields and the lush rural landscape of the Delta. After Cai Be, cross on Dinh Khao ferry to Cho Lach. After the ferry, cycle for a couple of kilometres and then shuttle the rest way to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 7: Continue cycling the Mekong delta. Travel back Ho Chi Minh city.

After enjoying an early morning breakfast visit the Cai Rang floating market, weave through teeming early morning market bustle along the banks of an active riverfront. Ride on a narrow paved road to Phong Dien floating market. Absorb the sights of endless cottage industries, timber merchants, coconut shredders, small docks loading/unloading rice, tiny vibrant markets. Continue by bike on the narrow lane to explore the hidden backwaters of the Mekong Delta. Local lunch in town. In the afternoon return to Saigon.

Sapa Villages Trekking and Halong Bay Boat Cruise Kayaking Tour 6 days

The 6-day tour offers the opportunity to experience Sapa hill tribe villages and Halong bay in northern Vietnam. After spending one night on board train you will arrive Lao Cai, located about one hour drive from Sapa town. You have almost 3 days for the trek. Hiking through terraced rice fields, ethnic villages inhabited by the black H’mong, the Red Dzao, the Giay. Trek difficulty is medium to ensure that you can do the tour without prior training. The overnight cruise tour to Halong bay is more relaxing as you spend most of the time on board junk – at leisure. Optional activities such as kayaking, scuba diving are also available in Halong bay. Sapa Villages Trekking and Halong Bay Boat Cruise Kayaking Tour 6 days

Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai by train.

In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for taking the night train to Lao Cai. Departure at around 20h30. Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Arrival in Laocai. Travel to Sapa. Sapa villages trek.

Upon your arrival in Lao Cai Railway Station early in the morning, you will be greeted by another Lotussia Travel local guide and driver and transferred uphill to Sapa. Your breakfast will be provided at a local restaurant in town. Then, transfer downhill to Sin Chai village of Black Hmong minority, which locates right at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range. Here you start heading up the mountain. Once you get to the top, you will trek on a small trail with spectacular view and then gradually descend to Cat Cat village, where you will have lunch nearby a waterfall. In the after noon, you take a trail sneaking through mountain. You also will enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river you eventually arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest in a nice spot nearby the beautiful river. You will stay overnight in Y Linh Ho, due to season it can be in local house or in tent camp.

Day 3: Continue trekking Sapa villages.

Today’s trek will continue along Hoang Lien mountain range, which offers you many opportunities to enjoy view over huge rice paddy terraces in Muong Hoa valley, the largest one in the area. After having lunch at a nice spot, you descend into the bottom of the valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Tavan village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. You spend the night in a traditional house of Giay minority. You will be able to take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river nearby.

Day 4: Continue trekking Sapa. Travel to Laocai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

Today’s trek is short, but still the landscape is beautiful. Once you get energy for your last day trek after having breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village where you can take a rest nearby a waterfall to enjoy the surroundings. You will continue trough a bamboo forest, and when you have passed the forest we find a nice place to enjoy lunch. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you continue on a small trail towards Supan where your car is waiting for the journey back to Sapa, and then to Laocai. Take the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 5: Arrival in Hanoi. Travel to Halong Bay. Boat cruise tour with canoeing.

Upon your early arrival in Hanoi Railways station, you will be greeted by another Lotussia Travel guide and transferred to a local restaurant for early breakfast. Then depart to Halong. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons. After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch (early) on board disembark at the dock at Halong City at around 11h00am. Transfer back to Hanoi.

Vietnam multi centre holidays: Trekking Sapa and Halong Bay Cruises 3 days

Trekking Sapa and Halong Bay Cruises 3 days

Day 1: Overnight train to Laocai.    

Overnight train to Lao Cai. Train??? Departure at ??? (To be advised). Overnight on board train.

Day 2: Laocai – Sapa. Sapa full day tour. Overnight train back to Hanoi (L).    

Arrive Laocai Railway Station early this morning. You will be welcome by our local team and transferred uphill to Sapa.

After breakfast (not included), travel to Sin Chai village. This is a beautiful village, located right at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range and inhabited by the Black Hmong minority. There we start our trekking journey uphill. Once we reach to the top, you will take a small trail descending to Catcat village.

Your lunch will be provided near a waterfall.

In the afternoon, we will take another trail sneaking through mountain. The scenery is also spectacular. Take a short break upon arriving Y Linh Ho village before climbing up to the main road where our vehicle will be waiting for us for the journey back to Sapa.

Day use will be provided in a mini standard hotel in either Sapa or Laocai.

Travel to Laocai Railways Station for overnight train trip back to Hanoi. Train ??? Departure at ??? (To be advised). Overnight on board train.

Day 3: Arrive in Hanoi. Hanoi – Halong bay – Hanoi (L).

Arrive Hanoi Railway Station early this morning. You will be greeted again by Lotussia local team and transferred to Halong bay.

Enjoy 3.5 hour drive through the fertile flood plains of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Once at Ha Long City we board our private boat for a five-hour cruise in Halong bay, stopping along the way to visit one of the limestone caves in the bay. There will also be time for a swim in the bay’s emerald waters. Whilst on board, you will be served a delicious local seafood lunch.

The boat goes back to shore at about 15:30. Get on our car again and travel back to Hanoi. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi city center. End trip.
