Vietnam Halong Bay and Cat Ba Island Multisport Trip Kayaking Trekking Rock Climbing (4 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong bay. Boat cruise. Kayaking tour.

At 8:30, you will be met up at the hotel lobby by Lotussia Travel guide, driver and transferred to Halong Bay through the fertile flood plains of the Red River Delta. Stop in route for a short rest or taking pictures of the everyday life sceneries (optional). Arrive in Halong Bay around noon. Embark on a comfortable junk at 12:00 and begin your cruise around majestic Halong Bay. Seafood lunch will be served on board. Explore limestone caves dotted around the bay, soak up the sun on the top deck or go kayaking (included).

Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner.

Overnight on board junk.

Day 2: Halong bay – Cat Ba island. Trekking Cat Ba National park.

Breafast on board. Then we leave the boat-house, joining a small wooden boat for another cruise towards Catba island.

Arrive Catba island pier around noon. You will be picked up by local motor-taxi (“xe om”) and transferred to a local restaurant for lunch (included).

After lunch, enjoy a half day trekking to Cat Ba national park. We will trek through jungle and have a chance to see the panorama of Halong Bay from one of the mountain summits we would conquer during the trek.

Overnight in Catba island.

Day 3: Cat Ba boat trip. Halong Bay rock climbing.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day rock climbing and boat cruise in Halong bay. After a short briefing, we will depart Cat Ba Town to Beo pier. Then cruise through Lan Ha Bay to Moody’s Beach. Rock Climb on Moody’s Beach. Lunch will be provided on board. After lunch, transfer to Thap Ngiem (Hai Pai Beach) where we will enjoy another rock climing experience. Cruise through Lan Ha Bay to Cat Ba Island.

Free dinner in town & overnight in Catba island.

Day 4: Cat Ba island – Hai Phong by hydrofoil. Return Hanoi .

Breakfast at hotel. Then stay free at leisure.

Around 14:00, take a speed boat for returning Haiphong where we will join our car again for the journey back to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi around late afternoon.

Visit Bac Ha Sunday market and trek cycle Sapa (3 days)

The 3-day tour will take to to Bac Ha and Sapa, Lao Cai province in northern Vietnam. You experience such travel highlights as the Bac Ha Sun day market, one of the most colorful highland market is only open on Sunday morning; a day walking tour in Sapa offering you the opportunity to visit the H’mong and the Red Dzao, two biggest ethnic groups in Sapa. Visit Bac Ha Sunday market and trek cycle Sapa (3 days)

Day 1: Arrive Laocai. Travel to Bac Ha. Visit Bac Ha Sunday market. Travel to Sapa.

Upon your arrival at Laocai railway station at 6:00 (please advise), you will be greeted by Lotussia Travel local team and transferred to a local restaurant for early breakfast.

Then leave Lao Cai for a 2-hour road journey to Bac Ha. The first portion of the road is flat and good. Then it is narrower and turns left and right more frequently from Bac Ngam to the market.

Arrive to the Market place at about 10.00 am. Spend two hours joining the local tribal peoples including Flower H’mong, Black Zao, Phu La and Tay for the festive market activities where peoples in their best traditional costume gather every Saturday for shopping and socializing. The animal and  clothing sections are the most interesting until 11.30 am, and then comes the food section.

Lunch break in a local restaurant.

Leaving Bac Ha after lunch for a half-hour drive downhill to Trung Do. Enjoy a leisure walk to explore this prosperous village of the Tay ethnic people who live in large stilt house.

Enjoy an hour boat trip along the Chay River to Bao Nhai where you will be picked up again by our vehicle for the road trip to Sapa.

Day 2: Sapa mountain biking tour one day.

8:30: You will be met up at your hotel in Sapa by Lotussia Travel team. Leaving Sapa, you will go uphill to the Silver Waterfall where you will be dropped off to start the mountain bike tour. From here you will cycle up  to the Heavens Gate,  the highest stretch of road  in Vietnam. You will experience the stunning views  across  the  valley.

You will  then  travel  by  bicycle  downhill  to  Binh  Lu, where  the lunch will be provided.

From Binh Lu  it  is also possible for you to  take 1 more hour  on  the  bike  and  1  hour  walking  to  a  remote  village  inhabited  by  the  Dao minority.

It is now time for the jeep ride back to Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa trekking tour. Travel to Laocai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

8:30: You will be met up at your hotel in Sapa by Lotussia Travel team. Transfer 15 km to the Mong Sen Bridge with stops along the way for enjoying spectacular landscapes.

Upon our arrival in Mong Sen village, we start trekking uphill along large dirt road  for nearly an hour, then following a narrow dirt trail winding its way on steep hill-sides along the western bank of the upstream part of Ngoi Dum River for 2 hours to an isolated hamlet of the Black H’mong people, explore these isolated hamlets of the Black H’mong, then lunch break.

After lunch, we continue trekking along the same trail for nearly 1,5 hours up and downhill towards Ta Phin Valley and arrive at the center of Ta Phin Commune in mid afternoon. Take a walk around this stunning valley, paying visit to some Red Zao families, then we will be picked up again by our vehicle for one-hour drive to Laocai.

You will be dropped off at Loacai railway station. End of our service.

Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park. Jungle treks.

Make a pleasant journey to Ninh Binh, about 120km in the south of Hanoi. Upon arriving in Cuc Phuong National park, we start visiting the Rescue Center where we will see and learn about the park’s biodiversity and variety of endangered species.

Then, we begin our trekking holidays through the life and songs of the local rain forests. A picnic lunch will be served en route. In the late afternoon, we will arrive at a village of the Muong minority people where we will spend our night in a local house. Dinner, then free time to talk with the host family and learn about the Muong people’s life and culture. Overnight at the stilt house.

Day 2: Cuc Phuong – Trang An. Trang An sampan cruise tour. Travel to Mai Chau.

After breakfast, we will take a short walk of to get reach the main road where we will get picked up by our car and transferred to Thung Nang which can be called “Vietnam’s Inland Halong Bay”.

Thung Nang is wonderful for photo hunters. The tourists often compare the place with Guilin – China, or more closely, to the limestone islets of Halong Bay in the Tonkin Gulf for their similar geological structures and shapes. Thus Thung Nang is also called Halong-Bay-On-Land.

Along the way we will visit caves and ancient temples. After the pleasant boat trip, we disembark the sampan and take our car again for Mai Chau. Arrive in Mai chau late afternoon.

Day 3: Hiking Mai Chau.

Breakfast at the Thai stilt house then we leave the village for a full day hiking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…Stop sometimes to visit local houses and talk with local people. And one of the highlight on this walk is to experience the everyday life and culture white Thai people and stay in their traditional house on stilts as honoured guests. We will return to the village around late afternoon. Have a short break before enjoying the Thai traditional Music and Dance show which is performed by the village young gilrs and boys. Althrough they are not professional artistes, they will give you an unique experience of their culture life.

Day 4: Mai Chau – Son La – Dien Bien Phu.

The road to Son La is lined with fruit orchards, tea plantations, towering mountains and the traffic of Black Thai, Muong and White Thai hill tribe people heading to markets. Upon arriving in Sonla, we visit the Sonla Prison Museum, which remains as a poignant reminder of the inequities of the former. Then we continue the journey to Dienbien. Impressive scenery, and hill tribe villages fill the journey to Dien Bien Phu, the last bastion of French power in Indochina. Monuments, museums and preserved bunkers tell the story of the final and victorious liberating battle of 1954. Overnight at hotel in Dien Bien.

Day 5: Visit Dien Bien Phu war sites. Travel to Muong Lay.

Half day touring around the battlefields. You see the museum of Dien Bien with exhibits collected during the fiercest war in Indochina during the 1950s, then we visit the vestiges of bunkers and fortified stations of over 16,000 French Expeditionary troops (including Elliane Hill and De Castries bunkers…). Free lunch in town.

In the afternoon, we depart for Muong Lay. The road through Muong Lay valley is both breathtaking and dramatic. Hugging rice terraced mountainsides and fording turbulent rivers, our travels today are visually spectacular. Overnight in Muong lay.

Day 6: Muong Lay – Sin Ho – Lai Chau.

From Muong Lay, the drive to Sin Ho is stunning with tiered tea plantations and verdant rice terraces carved into the landscape. Sin Ho is the most authentic market in the North West region which takes place every Saturday morning. There are many ethnic groups coming from different villages to sell their home made agricultural products such as rice, corn, vegetable, chicken, pork…

In the afternoon, continue our drive downhill to Lai Chau for the night. Overnight in Laichau.

Day 7: Trekking Lai Chau.

Breakfast at hotel. Then the car will drive us to Binh Lu market where we will have a short visit to the very big and colorful market which take place only on Sunday morning. The town is bustling with activity as the local hill tribes gather for their weekly market day here.

Then we start our hiking day. The area you are walking in this morning is a wide valley, spotted with limestone hills wherever you look. You will pass through several villages of Flower Hmong and Giay minorities where you can stop for lunch in local house.

After lunch you continue towards the village of Ban Giang, which is around 1.5 hours away. The Giay people also inhabit Ban Giang. You will then follow a small but good trail to the Lu village of Ban Hon, where you will stay overnight in a local house. You will enjoy dinner in the house, and taste, together with the family of the house, how rice wine tastes in this area of Vietnam. Our car will pick us up and get back to hotel for overnight.

Day 8: Lai Chau – Sapa. Visit Sapa town.

After breakfast, we will continue our drive uphill to Sapa passing Tram Ton Pass which offers beautifull views over the Hoang Lien mountain range. This route part is also considered the most beautiful stretch of road in Vietnam.

Upon our arrival in Sapa, we will have a walk around Sapa town. Climb up to Ham Rong mountain to enjoy the wonderful views of Sapa town.

Day 9: Sapa villages trek.

After breakfast at hotel, we begin our hiking day by taking a jeep ride to Ban Ho village. This is a village of Tay ethnic minority. The Tay preserve a traditional and fairly developed agriculture with cultivation of all kinds of plants including rice, maize and sweet potato as well as seasonable fruit and vegetables. Then we continue walking to Thanh Phu village where your lunch will be provided in a local house. After lunchtime, heading to Sin Chai village. This is a village of of Red Dao people. Day 10: Continue trekking Sapa. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

After breakfast, we will continue our day with a long trek downhill to Lao Cai. The route from Sin Chai, one of the most remote area in Sapa offers beautiful scenery and landscape. The trek will take us through rice paddy fields, bamboo forest, old trees jungle. Your lunch will be provided at Nam Ket. After lunch, we will trek further downhill. Upon arriving in Ta Thang village, a Tay village we will be greeted again by our driver who transfer us then to Laocai station for our journey back to Hanoi.

Day 11: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat cruise with kayaking tour.

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, transfer to a local restaurant for early breakfast then depart to Halong. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Day 12: Halong bay – Hanoi. Water puppet show.

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons. After another wonderful fresh seafood early lunch on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi.

In the evening, attend to the water puppet show, one of famous Vietnamese traditional art. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 13: Day trip to Duong Lam ancient village.

We travel west of Hanoi to visit Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys; visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu hamlet – the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Then cycle to Cam Lam by village’s roads. Magnificent landscape with rice-fields and hills. The two Kings Phung Hung & Ngo Quyen were born there and the village people are very proud of this. That’s why it has the second name as “The village of 2 Kings”. At Cam Lam, we can visit the temple of Phung Hung – very beautiful temple and also the Mausoleum of Ngo Quyen in the countryside facing rice fields and nice landscape. After breakfast in town, we start our trekking day by walking downhill through the breathtaking scenery. We will trek through rice paddy fields until we reach Ban Ho village. We will have a short visit of local houses before passing a suspension bridge. Your lunch will be provided on the spot. After lunch, we continue our walk to a Red Dao village of Nam Toong. Stop by a nice house to taste a cup of tea before heading back to Ban Ho, then uphill to Su Pan village where our vehicle is waiting for us for the journey back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: Biking Sapa – Lai Chau.

After breakfast, we leave Sapa town and travel by car uphill toward Tram Ton pass where we can take a short walk to the Silver Waterfall. Then head to Heaven Gate, where you will be amazed by breathtaking view to surrounding mountains including Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina.

Start our ride downhill towards Binh Lu. Stop by Chu Va Black Hmong village for a short break before arriving in Binh Lu. Your lunch will be provided in a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will continue cycling uphill. This biking route part requires lots of effort. But our support car will be always there for any assistance we may need. We will arrive in Laichau around late afternoon. Overnight in Laichau.

Day 4: Biking Lai Chau – Paso.

After breakfast, we start cycling again uphill along picturesque tributary of the Nam Na River. We will cycle through many beautiful and remote villages of Thai people spreading along the way before reaching the small town of Pa So. Your lunch will be provided in a local restaurant en route.

After lunch, we will continue our ride on a flat road towards Sin Ho. The journey offers a wonderful scenery and authentic local life activities of Hmong and Dao ethnic minorities. We will arrive in Paso around late afternoon. Enjoying some fresh local beer by the hotel riverside restaurant will be a great experience! Overnight in Paso.

Day 5: Biking Paso – Muong Lay.

Today’s ride will be mostly downhill. We will have more time to enjoy beautiful scenery as well as stop by a village of Thai minority, the largest ethnic minority group in this area. Just keep following the road, which goes along the Na River until we arrive in Muonglay. We will check in a hotel and have a late lunch.

After a rest, the car will drive us to the pier where we will take a boat ride downstream in the Black River. Stop and visit a village of Thai people and hear about their daily life on the riverbank. A friendly atmosphere makes the trip more enjoyable. Overnight in Muonglay.

Day 6: Biking Muong Lay – Dien Bien Phu.

After breakfast, we will start cycling on a good road, which makes our ride very comfortable. You will have either lunch in a local restaurant or picnic lunch prepared by the hotel. After lunch, we will continue our ride which is even more enjoyable in a beautiful nature. The ride will be downhill and then flat upon your arrival in Dien Bien Phu. Mountains and huge rice fields surround the busy town. Overnight in Dienbien.

Day 7: Continue cycling Dien Bien Phu. Fly to Hanoi.

After having breakfast, we will have an interesting bicycle trip around the town to visit the most famous historical sites of Dienbien including the Dien Bien Phu Museum, Glory Statue, A1 Hill and De Cattery Tunnel. Your lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in town. In the afternoon, our car will take us to Dienbien airport for a flight to Ha Noi.

Welcome in Hanoi airport by another bus and transfer to your hotel in town. In the late afternoon, enjoy one hour Vietnamese traditional foot massage which is really enjoyable and fun after a long cycling journey. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Trek to Hang village.

Depart for Pu Luong Nature Reserve. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. Following lunch in Ban Sai village we drive further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We enjoy the Pu Luong trek for approximately three hours before arriving at the Thai village of Hang. We spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our host in a traditional house on stilts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality we will discover a little more about their lives and culture.

Day 2: Continue trekking Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Hang village – Kho Muong village)

Today we will walk for about six hours. Along the way we pass through several Thai villages and hamlets before arriving at the village of Kho Muong. As the name suggests this is a Muong minority village and we will be their guests for the night.

Day 3: Continue trekking Pu Luong (Kho Muong village – Hin village)

This morning we set out from Kha and trek for roughly three hours on an uphill gradient through a picturesque forest passing several villages along the way. We break for lunch in the village of Nua before setting off again for a further two hours, this time the trail is predominately downhill. Our final destination for today is Hin village, another Thai community. Dinner and overnight at village.

Day 4: Continue trekking. Travel back to Hanoi

After breakfast, we will catch motorbike-taxi to La Han ferry where our car will be waiting for us for our journey back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay.

Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong bay and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. At 8h00, you will be picked up at the boat/junk by Lotussia Travel Diving Team and transferred by another wooden boat to our first dive site, Chim Island. Enjoy 01 dive before having lunch on board. In the afternoon, we will move to another dive site, Me Cung Island where we will enjoy one more hour diving before being dropped off at another boat-house for overnight. Dinner and overnight at local boat-house.

Day 7: Kayaking Cat Ba Island.

Breakfast in the boat-house. You will be picked up by another Lotussia Travel support boat and transferred to Hai Pies Beach. Briefing and gear-up before start paddling through Lan Ha Bay towards Ba Trai Dao beach for a lunch break. In the afternoon, continue paddling along the cliff through the Monkey Lagoon to Ranger’s base. Fresh seafood home cooked dinner then bunk down in your tents on the front yard or overnight at our eco base-camp.

Day 8: Continue kayaking. Travel to Hai Phong, then Hanoi.

After breakfast, navigate your way through quiet small bays through floating fish farms. Lunch break on the way before docking at Gia Luan to take the local shuttle bus to Cat Ba town. Then take hydrofoil to Hai Phong where your car will be ready for your journey back to Hanoi. Trip ends.

Vietnam Multi activity tour travel Hanoi Mai Chau Tam Coc Halong Bay Saigon Mekong Delta Cu Chi 8 days

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau.

Depart for Hoa Binh province and up then to Mai Chau valley. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies.

In the evening, assist to the traditional music and dance show which is performed by The Thai young local Thai girls and boys who all come from the village. Try also some rice alcohol made of traditional plants and local sticky rice. Overnight at stilt-house.

Day 2: Mai Chau Hiking.

Breakfast at the Thai stilt house then we leave the village for a full day hiking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…Stop sometimes to visit local houses and talk with local people. Your lunch will be provided on spot (not included in the package). And one of the highlight on this walk is to experience the everyday life and culture white Thai people and stay in their traditional house on stilts as honoured guests. Return to Mai Chau village around late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in house on-stilts.

Day 3: Mai Chau – Tam Coc, Ninh Binh. River boat trip & countryside cycling.

We say good bye to the warm-hearted Thai people before leving the village for a four-hour drive to Tam Coc, Ninhbinh. We will arrive in Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh around noon. After lunch (not included in the package), visit the two remaining sanctuaries of the ancient citadel of Dinh & Le before enjoying a short cycling trip through rural villages to Tam Coc, also called Halong-Bay-On-Land. Upon arrival in Tam coc, we will have a short rest before taking a 2-hour boat trip along the Boi river. The river trip in Tam coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seedling for the next crops. The tourists often compare the place with Guilin – China, or more closely, to the limestone islets of Halong Bay in the Tonkin Gulf for their similar geological structures and shapes. Day 4: Tam Coc – Halong bay. Boat/junk cruise with kayaking.

Enjoy the journey through the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit or take a kayak to paddle through karst rocks of different shapes. Day 5: Halong bay – Hanoi. Fly to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon).

Brunch (Breakfast + Lunch) will be served on board while the boat is going back to shore. Arrive at Ha long wharf about 11h00 and take our car for our journey back to Hanoi.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to Noibai airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Ho Chi Minh City is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This bustling metropolis is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk cafés.

Welcome at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city by Lotussia Travel guide, driver and then transferred to your hotel in town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 6: Day trip to Cu Chi tunnels. Saigon city tour.

After breakfast, we enjoy a pleasant drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. After visiting the tunnels, go back to Ho Chi Minh city. Free lunch in town.

In the afternoon, start the city tour with Ho Chi Minh City highlights including the Post Office, cathedral, Reunification palace, centre town, then continuation towards Cholon, visit Thien Hau temple, Binh Tay market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 7: Day trip to the the Mekong delta.

Heading out of the town, we travel by road to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s largest rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho we embark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up. The thrilling excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving on an island. Here we have opportunities to visit some fascinating local industries, stroll around an orchard and taste many seasonal fruits. After feasting on a huge lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh. Trip ends.

Sapa Hiking and Halong Bay Cruises with Canoeing Tour 6 days

Day 1: Overnight train to Lao Cai.

Take the night train to Lao Cai. Departure at around 20h30. Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Arrival in Laocai Railway Station. Transfer to Sapa. Sapa trekking.

Upon your arrival in Lao Cai Railway Station early in the morning, you will be greeted by another Lotussia Travel local guide and driver and transferred uphill to Sapa. Your breakfast will be provided at a local restaurant in town. Then, you will travel by car to Su Pan Hmong village from where you will begin walking downhill through the breathtaking scenery. On the way you will pass through the Ban Ho village where you will be able to witness the stunning views of the valley and rice paddy terraces. You will have the opportunity to explore the Ban Ho village of Tay minority before crossing the suspension bridge over the river. The walk then continues uphill to the Red Dao minority village of Nam Toong where your lunch will be provided.

After lunch, you will descend to a beautiful valley inhabited by Xa Pho ethnic minority, one of the smallest ethnic group in Northern Vietnam. From there you take a short walk to Thanh Phu where you will spend the night in traditional house of the Tay.

Day 3: Continue trekking Sapa.

Today’s trek will be relatively short and soft. Once leaving Thanh Phu village, you will follow the trekking route built in the bottom of the valley, which offers the best view to the surrounding mountains. Stop at a nice spot for lunch.

After lunchtime, you continue the walk toward Sin Chai Red Dzao village where the night will be spent in bamboo huts.

Day 4:   Continue Sapa trek. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

After good nights sleep in bamboo hut, you wake up for an early breakfast and repack your luggage for the long trek heading towards Lao Cai. Once you leave Sin Chai, the trip takes you into a fabulously mountainous area, the most remote part of Sapa. Red Dao ethnic minority inhabits the entire area. Your lunch will be provided on spot. After lunch, your trek will be mostly downhill. After about half an hour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of days over a green valley lying along the Red River. You eventually arrive in Ta Thang village of Tay minority. Here you will be transferred by car to Lao Cai.

Day 5:   Arrival in Hanoi. Travel to Halong Bay. Boat cruise. Kayaking.

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, transfer to a local restaurant for early breakfast then depart to Halong. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or Bhaya junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Cao Son Trek and Halong bay Sea Kayak Tour 6 days

The 6-day tour is a combination of a off-the-beaten track destination Cao Son and a hot, popular tourist place Halong bay. Visit the Cao Son market which is open on Wednesday only. Cao Son Trek and Halong bay Sea Kayak Tour 6 days

Day 1: Overnight train to Lao Cai.

Transfer to Hanoi Railwasy station for the night train trip to Laocai. Train??? (To be advised). Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Arrive Lao Cai early this morning. Travel to Cao Son. Trekking.

Arrive Lao Cai Railways Station early this morning. Train??? (To be advised). You will be greeted by Lotussia Travel local team and transferred to a local restaurant for early breakfast.

After few minutes resting, travel to Muong Khuong district, via tea plantation and forest of pine. You might encounter Giay people in their traditional dress in Ban Lau or Thanh Binh.

Reaching Cao Son about 10.am. Check in Cao Son lodge for lunch and a short rest.

In the afternoon you will commence your Cao Son hike to the most secluded yet peaceful village – Tin Thang. In this village, people still distill the wine from corn, making bacon in the most basic way and offering special corn cake to anyone who drop by their house.

Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit Cao Son Wednsday market. Boat trip on Chay river. Laocai – Hanoi.

After breakfast, you will walk on a good paved road with local ethnic minority people to go to Cao Son market. Pine trees forests and villages surround the tinny market. Flower H’mong, Tu Di, Tay, Giay ethnic minorities come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. People coming to the market not only for selling or buying something but also importantly to meet friends, relative and to sip some cups of wine until the dawn comes. No where else but here, Flower H’mong people greet you with a temptation of corn wine and endless hospitality.

After exploring the market, trek to Sicala village. This is one of the oldest village in Cao Son area where you can experience the unique customs and tradition. Once you are in the village, you can behold the panoramic view of lush valley located on the banks of Chay river.

Picnic lunch will be provided in Ta Thang school.

After lunch, join our vehicle again and travel to Coc Ly where we will enjoy an amazing boat trip downstream Chay river. From Coc Ly, you will take a bamboo raft to Tien (Fairy) cave. The last destination is Trung Do village – the habitat of Tay people, who live in stilt houses.

Transfer to Lao Cai. Day use will be provided in a standard hotel for quick shower before taking the night train back to Hanoi. Train ???

Day 4: Arrive Hanoi early this morning. Travel to Halong Bay. Boat cruise. Kayaking.

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, you will be greeted again by our team and transferred to a local restaurant in town for breakfast.

Vietnam Pu Luong Nature Reserve Trekking and Halong Bay Sea Canoeing Tour 5 days

Day 1: Hanoi – Maichau – Puluong.Trekking to Hang village (L,D)

After breakfast, depart for Pu Luong Nature Reserve.

This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. Following lunch in Poom Coong village we drive further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We trek for approximately three hours before arriving at the Thai village of Hang.

We spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our host in a traditional house on stilts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality we will discover a little more about their lives and culture.

Day 2: Trekking from Hang village to Kho Muong village (B,L,D)

Today we will walk for about six hours.

Along the way we pass through several Thai villages and hamlets before arriving at the village of Kho Muong. As the name suggests this is a Muong minority village and we will be their guests for the night.

Day 3: Trekking to Pho Doan. Travel back to Hanoi (B,L)

This morning we set out from Kho Muong and trek for roughly three hours and a half before arriving in Pho Doan townlet where your lunch will be provided in a local house.

After lunch, we will take a motorbike-taxi to La Han ferry where our car will be waiting for us for our journey back to Hanoi.

Day 4: Travel to Halong bay. Boat cruise. Sea Canoeing (B,L,D)

Join our shuttle bus (sharing) and enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood.
