Looking for some less crowded place near Hanoi? We propose a day trip to Chuong village where you see no other tourist. There will be only you with your guide. The following newly-created itinerary offers the opportunity to visit Chuong conical hat village in a different way – Discover handicraft rural villages by bicycle. Cycling distance varies from 25 up to 50K depending on your needs.

Chuong village is located in southwest of Hanoi, about one hour drive from downtown. The main material for making “non” is palm leaf. Not only old people but also children in this village know how to make conical hats. They take advantage of leisure after harvest time to make “non”. This occupation helps villagers increase their incomes, improve their living standards and contribute to bettering their home vill-age.
8.30: picked up at your hotel and brought to Chuong My. It takes about one hour to get out of the busy streets of Hanoi.
Arrive in Chuong My, disembark your bikes and start riding on the back roads. Follow village’s lanes, you pedal through different rural hamlets including Trung Tien, Duyen Ung, Coc Thuong, Vo Lao…
Make some stops on the way to visit communal house, local temple, pagoda. Learn about the spiritual life of Vietnamese people. There is a chance to meet up local farmers in their own house. Chatting up with the host for a real life experience.
Arrive in Chuong village around early afternoon, have late lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, start discovering the Chuong village. Visit a family to learn how conical hats are made.
Keep cycling for 3K until you are picked up again by backup vehicle and brought back to Hanoi. Arrive back at your hotel around 16.00. end of tour.
